Blood vessels can become arrower as you grow. This will not allow the blood to flow through and get to the other organs this can create someone to have heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure, and possible loss of limbs. Kidney failure can be the result of narrowing blood vessels in your kidneys. Blindness is the most serious consequence possible if the blood vessels in your eyes occasionally burst.

Blood pressure has been the cause of the brain swelling in some cases. This can result in a number of problems including seizures and coma. Which is known as hypertensive ecephalopathy.

The walls of the heart will thicken causing the heart to get larger when the blood pressure goes above 140/90. This results from the extra load placed on it when pumping blood throughout the rest of your body. Because of this the heart chamber will not get expanded, instead it pumps the heart to work hard. Abnormal heart rhythms may be a result of that.

Checking your blood pressure is extremely important it cannot be pointed out enough as stated before there are no symptoms and before you know it major internal organs are messed up in the long term untreated high blood pressure. Here is the reason why high blood pressure is named the 'silent killer.
