It is All About the Struggle

Adrenaline shoots through our veins in response to fight or flight. What this means is, when we are struggling to overcome some situation or when we are trying to get away from something, such as a wild animal, adrenaline will enter into our bloodstreams. This adrenaline is there to help us fight better and run away faster. In certain situations it is good that we are able to fight better or run faster, but when adrenaline secretion is already giving us feelings of unreality, fighting this adrenaline secretion or trying to run away from it only secrets more adrenaline and makes us feel more unreal.

When panic comes over us, it brings about feelings that often make us feel sick. Because of this, we try to fight them off or overcome them by force. This is the same as fighting and since anxiety is brought about by the fight or flight (run away) response, the panic becomes worse. Then, if we fight harder the panic intensities even more.

Sooner or later, panic attacks always end. When they do they often leave us totally spent. It is at this time we start to put our guards up against any signs of another one coming. This "putting our guard up" is a form a fighting or running away, and so it increases the chance another panic attack will come on soon.

As you can see, trying to fight off panic is not only futile it creates nervousness, which if handled incorrectly will result in more panic attacks. So, it stands to reason that not fighting or even giving up is a better way to defeat anxiety and panic.

Giving Up or, Passivity

Since anxiety is always fueled by fighting and/or running away, it lessons in intensity when it is ignored. I know, this is easier said than done, but it is the key to becoming free of anxiety and panic attacks.

Developing the attitude of letting panic do to you whatever it will is the way to lessening the severity of each panic attack as they occur. In time, and maybe you will be surprised how short a time, no panic at all will occur because by ignoring the symptoms of panic, such as feelings of unreality, you will have taken the teeth out of panic. When there is nothing to fear, there is nothing left to fight, no adrenaline and so, no panic.

One of the very first points to understand about depression is that it obviously deals with bad feelings. Negative emotions. And when you look at it, it's fairly easy to see what we all come from a particular paradigm or box around our emotions. An obvious, easy to understand box.

What are some emotions you like having? The usual list is Love

Excitement

hope

amusement

These types of emotions we call "good feelings." We want to feel them as much as we can. Just so, there are many emotions we don't want to have or feel at all. See if some of these negative feelings would be on your list:

These feelings we call "bad emotions" and we try to avoid or stay away from them as much as we can. If we must feel them, we try to get away from them as fast as we can.

Now you are ready to understand the box we operate from about our emotions. The box is that there are "bad" emotions and "good" ones. Kinda obvious, right? All of us just "know" that when it comes to emotions there are bad ones and good ones. Further, we know that part of the point in life is to feel good ones and avoid bad ones. This goes unexamined in our lives because it is so obvious and plain. Of course the way to deal with emotions is to feel good ones and avoid bad ones!

Given that, all of the emotions that go with depression we characterize as "bad" emotions, and we just "know" that our job is to try to avoid or get rid of these feelings at all costs. So you could say that we're stuck in a box about depression, which is that depression - and all the feelings that go with it - are bad. And we should resist all the feelings that go with this condition.

But there is a big problem to this approach of trying to get rid of all the feelings associated with depression, and it begins with a common emotional mistake we make all of the time. This emotional mistake has to do with trying not to feel bad feelings.

So try on the concept that you have an emotional "body," and that it has a job to do. The job of your emotional body is to feel all feelings. Good ones like inspiration and enthusiasm, and bad ones like sadness and anxiety. It's job is to feel ALL feelings, whether you like some or not. You can't stop your emotional body from feeling your feelings, that's what it does.

You cant keep your skin from feeling hot or cold, soft or hard. Your skin will feel whatever surrounds it. Just so, your emotional body will feel all of your emotions. You cant just feel good feelings. When you try to suppress bad feelings, you only cause them to get stuck. They then tend to stick around much longer. Trying not to feel the difficult emotions that go with depression can be a way to keep depression around!

Therefore, to get out of the box of depression, one way is to discover more emotional intelligence so that you can process difficult feelings more efficiently and quickly so that they don't stick around. There's no room in this article to get into the details, but just a few minutes a day of not resisting but exploring difficult emotions can begin to provide some real depression help.

Chakra Meditation - Chakra Sound Secrets Revealed!

The word chakra comes from the Sanskrit language, and means a vortex or spinning wheel. It is also used to refer to the seven chakras found in the human body, corresponding to the different glands of the body. The first chakra is found at the spinal base and the seventh at the crown. All chakras are centers of spinning energy.

As the chakra is a center of spinning energy and something that moves, it causes vibrations. These vibrations cause sound and this is the reason why there is vibration in different parts of the body through chakra sounds of varying frequencies.

Seven different chakra sounds come from the seven chakras. Colors also vibrate with the sound at different frequencies. There are different colors associated with the different chakras and it is the combination of the chakra sound and color that restores balance in chakras. This in turn improves health.

You only need your voice for sound healing via chakra sounds, to feel better, calmer and clearer in a matter of minutes. However these chakra sounds should be soft and gentle, and not longer than five minutes duration each.

1. Sound healing starts with the deepest sound you can make, UH. This is to be done with eyes closed and attention concentrated on the base chakra of your spinal base. With this sound, you have to note the sound resonance in the body in the chakra, and not from your throat. This chakra sound can be visualized with red color and should be said for a minute or two.

2. The second chakra sound comes from the second chakra found about three inches below the naval. The chant for this chakra sound is OOO which can be complimented with the color orange. Eyes have to be closed for one to two minutes when chanting to realize the balancing of this chakra with other chakras.

3. The third chakra sound "OH has to come from the navel chakra, found at the navel area. The color for complimenting visualization here is yellow. This chakra sound has to start very softly and gently, but higher than the last sound.

4. AH is the sound people cry out when in love, and is also the chakra sound for the heart chakra. This chakra is located in the middle of the chest, and is related to love. It is associated with the color green and has to be started with a soft and gentle sound that has a higher pitch than the previous chakra sound.

5. EYE is the chakra sound for the throat chakra that can be complimented with blue. This chakra sound too has to be higher in pitch than the previous sounds.

6. In between the forehead and slightly above the two eyes is the chakra sound belonging to the third eye. This chakra sound is AYE and is complimented with indigo color. This chakra sound starts with a soft and gentle tone which is however of a higher pitch than the previous sounds.

7. The crown chakra situated at the top of the head is where you chant the highest sound possible, EEE. This chakra sound is complemented with the color purple that starts with the highest sound you can make, EEE. Like other chakra sounds, this chakra sound also starts softly and gently.

You have to close your eyes when chanting all the chakra sounds while concentrating on different chakras. When you focus on the different chakras, you find chakra sounds projecting from the respective chakras. And with the resonance of the sound chakras, each chakra starts balancing and aligning with other chakras.

It is better if you relax or meditate after this exercise as you may feel light headed. This should be done so that you can realize the benefits of the chakra sounds better.
